For the third time, members of the club have stood in front of a packed audience and tried to be their pop hero's!  Stars in Their Eyes I saw 1st XI Captain Andy Northrop take away 1st prize performing as Axel Rose with Stuart McArdle winning the second Stars In Their Eyes as Tina Turner!! (Are you beginning to get the picture?). This year was no disappointment with 12 acts it was filled with entertainment. The eventual winner being Ian Wainman as Barry White. Of course a camera was present to capture some of the Stars in action.

1st up we had Jane and John Rushton performing as Lionel Ritchie and Diana Ross - Endless Love
Following the Rushton's was Andy Hough singing Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. (Kids were asked to leave the room)
Elton John and Kiki Dee came next. Members of the committee were shouting 'Don't go breaking the Windows'.
No you are not going mad, Batman has never released a single. James Murphy sang the theme tune from one of the films. Seal - Kiss from a Rose.
The eventual winner Ian Wainman made an excellent effort of Barry White - You're the First, the Last, My Everything.
Steve Murphy met Joanne Rushton when she was Just a Waitress in a Cocktail Bar.  We're not sure Murphs is Human but Joanne was certainly in a League of her own.
Martyn Hough as George Formby was thinking back when he used to wait for Maureen - Leaning On A Lamp Post!
Angela Murphy, as pretty as a Petula, taking us on a trip Downtown.
And wouldn't you be scared to death if Burty and Enty Proclaimed that they would Walk a Thousand Miles to fall down at your door.
Complete with his Harley Davidson, Andy Northrop would drive all the Bats Out of Hell with his version of Meatloaf.
And even more frightening than last year - Big Stu invited Big Spenders to spend a little time with him.  Shirley not!  Rather you than me boys!
